REGULATION:
For flight training in aircraft that weigh 12,500 pounds or less,
as currently written, the rule requires every student and certificated
pilot to prove his or her citizenship status (including U.S.
citizens) prior to undertaking flight training for a new or the
addition of a certificate or rating. Foreign flight students
must complete a background check process with TSA.
Q. What is your
ATPL PROFESSIONAL FLIGHT TRAINING COURSE?
A. Our ATPL
PROFESSIONAL FLIGHT TRAINING COURSE is based on the assumption
that you meet all flight training and flight experience prerequisites
for each pilot rating through ATPL. The assumption made for this
course is that you are an experience pilot in your Nation (civilian
and/or military) and qualified for these ratings based on your
Civilian Aviation Authority. Our course of instruction prepares
you for an FAA Practical Test (checkride) leading to an FAA ATPL.
Q. How long
will it take me to complete this COURSE?
A. Course completion
depends on your background. If you have documented flight experience
and desire an FAA pilots license, most if not all of your documented
flight training and flight experience whether civilian or military
is allowed.
If you are applying
for an airline transport pilot certificate with an airplane category
and class rating, you must have at least 1500 hours of total
time as a pilot that includes at least:
500 hours of
cross-country flight time.
100 hours of night flight time. (If you have performed at least
20 night takeoffs and landings to a full stop, you may substitute
each additional night takeoff and landing to a full stop for
1 hour of night flight time. However, not more than 25 hours
of night flight time may be credited in this manner!)
75 hours of instrument flight time in actual or simulated instrument
conditions. (A maximum of 25 hours, or if the training was accomplished
in accordance with Part 142, a maximum of 50 hours of simulated
instrument time in an approved flight simulator or approved flight
training device that represents an airplane may be credited.)
250 hours of flight time in an airplane as a pilot in command,
which includes at least 100 hours cross-country flight time and
25 hours of night flight time.
Not more than 100 hours of the total aeronautical experience
requirements for this rating may be obtained in accordance with
FAA Part 142 in an approved flight simulator or approved flight
training device that represents an airplane.
Q. What does
this course cost?
A. The cost
depends on how much flight training you receive. We custom quote
a fixed price after we've conducted an in depth interview either
in person or by phone/on line. For example, you can expect to
pay approximately $110/hour for a single engine airplane, $280/hour
for a multiengine airplane, flight and ground school instructor
will range from $40 - $50/hour, FAA Knowledge Tests are $100
each, and the Designated Examiner's Fee is generally between
$300 and $400 per exam. We also offer turbine transition training.
Ask for pricing on the turbine course.
Q. Do I have
to pay for all of the training up front?
A. We charge
by the hour. You are expected to pay for the training as completed.
Q. Is your school
an FAA Part 141 School?
A. No
Q. How do I
contact your school?
A. You can call
